Established in 1970, Pellito has been in the business of healthy and delicious nut-based snacking for over four decades.

As nut pioneers, Pellito introduced oil roasted and salted peanuts to Greece in the 1970s. Many will remember the iconic Mr. Pellito!

The Pellito Heritage

Family Tradition since 1970

Vamvalis Co. was established in the historic market district on Katouni Street in Thessaloniki, Greece in the 1960s where the family’s trading business had been operating since 1912.

Launching the Pellito brand in 1970, and through investment in technology and infrastructure, the business relocated to a new 2000 m2 facility in Kalohori, just outside of the city center, in the 1980s. With growing demand for the Pellito family of nuts and snacks, the company acquired its new and wholly owned private headquarters, increasing capacity to 5000m2, in the 1990s.

By 2010, we became one of the largest and leading manufacturers of nut and seed bars and snacks in Europe, always keeping our artisanal approach and best-in-class quality at the heart of our business.

Today, we continue to strive to stay at the top of our industry and we do not rest on our laurels. We continue to invest heavily in innovation, people, and quality, always delivering the very best for our customers around the world.
